Meet Huda
Huda Fahmy is a critically acclaimed Author/Illustrator. She grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and has loved comics since she was a kid. Huda taught English for eight years before she started writing about her experiences as a visibly Muslim woman in America. She is a National Book Award finalist for her YA graphic novel Huda F Cares?. Huda and her family reside in Texas.
As our siblings continue to experience oppression and brutal atrocities, it is vital that we speak out and act. But as you show up, don’t forget to also take care of yourself. Self neglect will only lead to burn out and make it more difficult to advocate meaningfully. We must lean on each other as we continue to fight. I hope this post serves as an encouraging reminder. ♥️🖤💚🤍
